Job Role: Business & Project Support Officer
MPA are excited to be recruiting a Business & Project Support Officer on behalf of our public service client based in Lisburn.
The post holder will be an integral part of the Service Support Centre Team. Delivering
at all times to a high standard, they will provide expert advice and guidance to management and wider project teams on the development and delivery of Asset & Services projects.
This will include the management of all business cases from initiation to approval,
including drafting; supporting project implementation through all stages; and ensuring
completion of post project evaluations in line with best practice and corporate
timescales.
Location – Belfast (Boucher Road)
Hours of Work – 36.25 hours per week. Mon – Fri (9:00am -5:00 pm) & (10am- 6pm) Monday – Friday, with standby 1 in 4 weeks
Salary - £19.59 per hour

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

Possess a degree or equivalent qualification* in a relevant discipline e.g. business management, improvement, business studies, finance

Responsibilities

· Deliver a structured approach to prioritising and planning of all Asset and Services projects to be delivered within each Financial Year and across multi-year cycles e.g. 5 years/10 years, working with key stakeholders and senior management to ensure alignment with the NIFRS Corporate and Financial Plans.
· Liaise with the NIFRS Economic Advisor to ensure strategic alignment of business cases with those from across other parts of the Organisation.
· Deliver business case project priorities aligned to the agreed prioritisation and
· planning based on available budget and corporate outcomes.
· Ensure all relevant internal and external stakeholders are kept updated on priority projects being delivered within the Financial Year; working with the relevant Departments and stakeholders to develop and scope projects.
· Assign and manage resource and stakeholders for the projects to be delivered within each Financial Year including all scheduling for projects to be delivered using project management methodologies such as creating and maintaining action logs, project risk and issue logs when applicable.
· Deliver project research support and carry out the relevant background knowledge research and benchmarking required for future Assets and Services to be delivered.
· Develop and agree individual Project Initiation Documents (PIDs) for project to be delivered within the Financial Year including a full project brief.
