Description

The Business Development Managers primary roles is to recruit new members by promoting the positive aspects of Chamber membership, and how the Chamber can positively impact the development and growth of businesses throughout Cambridge and North Dumfries. As well, responsible for Chamber products and services to member.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have the ability to multi-task
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, neat and able to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in print and digital sales
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to acquire new skills in order to use Chamber’s customized database.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to create a positive impression of the Chamber while responding to members by telephone
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone skills with a thorough knowledge of telephone etiquette.
    Preference will be giving to those who have experience in customer service and sales.

    Potential to earn $60,000 - $65,000 with incentives

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the Chamber’s mission and how it directly applies to existing and prospective members.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a personal sales action plan.
  • Collaborate with Manager and/or other Account Executives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new member-investors.
  • Establish positive relations with the principals of businesses throughout the Chamber’s service area.
  • Work with principals to establish specific needs of their organization and report findings to appropriate Chamber departments.
  • Maintain adequate prospect list in Chamber member database.
  • Develop quality prospects for membership.
  • Aptitude to work under constant pressure and time deadlines.
  • The Member Relationship Manager may be called upon, and would definitely find it advantageous, to attend Chamber events such as Chamber Social, breakfasts, lunches and other such events for recruitment purposes.
