BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

We are seeking a Business Relationship Manager to manage our corporate customer portfolio. The incumbent will report to the Head of Corporate Banking Department and will be responsible for marketing, business development, relationship management and risk management for new and existing customers in Asia-Pacific region. As the team lead, the role requires to provide business direction to the credit business team members to deliver sales result. The person is required to perform credit evaluation which includes preparation of credit proposals, reviews and reports in Japanese for submission to the Head Office. The incumbent will also need to manage and strengthen customer relationships, cross-sell products and services as well as portfolio risk management.
Applicants should possess a degree in Economics, Law, Accounting and Finance or Business Administration with about 6 years’ experience in corporate banking. Knowledge in shipping and aviation financing would be an added advantage. The person needs to be familiar and have a good understanding of the business culture and process of Japanese organizations. The nature of the job will require the person to be highly proficient in the Japanese Language, both spoken and written as there will be regular communication with the Head Office. They must also possess strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Overseas travel may be required.
Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
