PERMANENT, FULL TIME (37 HOURS PER WEEK)

The role of the Business Resilience manager is a key role for Stockport Homes Group (SHG) and will take strategic responsibility for the organisations resilience and response to an unexpected business or service delivery event, while continuing to operate at an acceptable level outside of normal conditions and covers how it will recover to a ‘steady state’ afterwards.
The post holder will ensure that SHG plans link into the wider Civil Contingency plan, owned by the Council. The post holder will also ensure SHG’s plans are aligned to (and tested against) the GMRU (Greater Manchester Resilience Unit) strategy 2020-2030, as well as meeting all principles of GM Prepared guidance.
Within SHG there are multiple 24/7/365 services provided, many of which offer an ‘Emergency Response’ out of normal working hours via the CCTV Control Room. As ‘critical services’ it is essential they have alternative work locations from which they can deliver continuity of service, in the event of a disaster. The role will take ownership over this aspect of SHG’s OOH services, oversee operations in the CCTV Control Room overall, and they will work alongside relevant colleagues to co-ordinate an effective and streamlined OOH service.
The role can only be delivered by working and engaging with senior level stakeholders within the Police, Council, GM organisations and the successful candidate will have proven experience to advocating at for organisations at a senior level.
The postholder needs to be able to translate strategic responsibility into operational policy and procedure and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing and the ability to collaborate within different teams at SHG.
