THE TEAM

The Enterprise Risk and Resilience team in the Chief Risk Office oversees ASIC’s risk and resilience frameworks. This team improves risk management, business continuity, and crisis management arrangements. Additionally, the team ensures that business units meet standards and collaborates with management to promote good practices.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking someone with relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in Business Continuity and Crisis Management and within large corporate or government settings.

You will also demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in managing emergency responses/disruptive events in a corporate environment including guiding senior management through exercises with the provision of feedback.
  • Experience guiding and mentoring junior team members.
  • Advanced relationship management skills to engage and influence a multidisciplinary workforce.
  • Experience in business improvement focusing on change, process & systems, policy, and planning development.
  • High-level change and project management, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills for effective client relationships and presenting complex information to different audiences.

  • Salary range - $123,444~$131,725 (depending on experience) plus 15.4% superannuation
  • Temporary (12 months) role

THE ROLE

As a Business Resilience Specialist, you will be leading the team and advocating for the importance of business continuity, crisis and incident management, to ensure the resilience of ASIC’s critical infrastructure and operational functions.

You will also be required to:

  • Coordinate business continuity and disruption response, including crisis and incident response management and partnering with business owners to undertake Business Impact Assessments (BIA), Risk Assessments, recovery strategy, development of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and associated strategies to mitigate risk in the event of a major incident.
  • Review and test business continuity plans to ensure effectiveness.
  • Evaluate ASIC’s compliance with BCM policies and emergency response standards for process improvement.
  • Manage BCM reporting and compliance, including preparing advice, briefings, and operational reports.
  • Represent ASIC in external forums on business continuity and incident management, providing briefings and progress reports.
