Description

Dawn International is a significant Trading/Brokerage company operating in the primary and secondary protein sector and based out of Waterford, Ireland. It trades internationally, primarily in pork, beef, lamb, poultry and fish products – to the Processing and Food Service sectors. The Company is seeking to fill the role of Business Sales Executive.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualifications in Food science/Food Technology/Business development/Marketing or related principles are advantageous but not a necessity.
  • A working knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP, and Food Legislation is advantageous but not critical.
  • Previous work experience/placement in a food production environment is desirable.
  • Previous work experience/placement in a sales or trading environment is also desirable.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese (spoken and written) is required.

Responsibilities

Reporting primarily to the Business Manager. Tasks are as follows but not limited to:

  • The core nature of the role involves the buying and selling of meats, foodstuffs, and other commodities as deemed commercially appropriate by management on an ongoing basis.
  • Business Sales Executives provide advice to existing and potential customers and receive orders for specialist products or services that require technical knowledge.
  • Establishing and maintaining direct communication with both suppliers and clients, primarily via telephone and email.
  • Handling the administrative tasks associated with trades.
  • Providing clients with quotations, delivery schedules, payment terms, and coordinating logistics as required.
  • Traveling to client premises and attending trade shows as required.
  • Responsibilities will be varied and will demand a high level of initiative and accountability.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and product innovations and suggesting possible improvements to products or services.
