JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth across our international air and ocean freight services. This role involves developing new clients, nurturing existing accounts, and delivering integrated logistics solutions that meet the evolving needs of global customers. You will work closely with carriers, airlines, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality services. The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-oriented sales professional with solid industry experience and strong commercial instincts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Actively identify and engage potential clients through online platforms, cold calling, and in-person visits to drive business growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with existing clients by understanding their needs and offering customized air freight solutions, while fostering trust through regular communication.
- Airline Collaboration: Work closely with airlines to secure competitive rates, capacity commitments, and favorable service terms, coordinating flight schedules to meet client timelines.
- Route Selection and Coordination: Identify optimal routes based on client requirements, liaise with airlines to ensure timely and cost-effective cargo transportation.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Dynamics: Analyze market trends and industry developments, monitor competitor activity, and adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales performance targets by maintaining a high level of efficiency and execution.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, operations, and air freight teams to ensure seamless customer service and smooth logistics processes.
- Feedback and Optimization: Provide feedback from clients to airlines to enhance service offerings, ensuring optimal results in terms of transit time and pricing.
Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding, with hands-on exposure to both air and ocean freight operations and sales.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients at all levels.
- Execution Under Pressure: Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Collaboration & Accountability: Strong teamwork spirit and a high sense of responsibility; a dependable partner to both clients and internal teams.
- Proactive Mindset: Energetic, outgoing, and self-driven, with a strong desire to succeed and exceed performance benchmarks.
- Market Insight: Solid understanding of global trade flows, logistics challenges, and competitive market forces.
- Channel Development: Proven success in establishing and managing strategic sales channels, agent relationships, and long-term customer pipelines.
- Language: Fluent in English; additional language skills (such as Mandarin or Spanish) are a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in logistics, international trade, business, or related disciplines.

Salary:
- First 3 months: $7,000/month, no commission.
- After 3 months: $base + uncapped commission.
- Commission is based on sales profit and how long the client has worked with us — higher for new clients, lower for long-term ones.
Payment Schedule
- Base salary paid monthly; commissions paid quarterly together with the last paycheck of the quarter.
