We are seeking a Business Services and Partnership Coordinator who is passionate about workforce development, relationship building, and creating pathways to economic opportunity. This individual will serve as a bridge between job seekers, employers, and community partners, helping people access quality jobs while strengthening industry-led workforce solutions throughout North Central Connecticut. What You'll Do In this role, you will: Build and maintain strong relationships with employers across the region. Identify hiring opportunities and connect qualified candidates to available positions. Coordinate recruitment activities, hiring events, and workforce training opportunities. Support business customers by connecting them to workforce development resources and programs. Facilitate Regional Sector Partnerships that bring together employers, educators, workforce organizations, and community stakeholders. Organize and lead partnership meetings, action teams, and collaborative initiatives. Track performance outcomes, prepare reports, and contribute to strategic workforce initiatives that improve economic mobility and regional competitiveness. Requirements Business Services & Job Placement Lead job placement activities for workforce development program participants. Meet or exceed performance goals related to employment placement and retention. Develop and maintain employer relationships within assigned industries or geographic territories. Identify and develop job leads aligned with participant skills and qualifications. Screen candidates and facilitate employer referrals. Implement workforce services including: Job placement Recruitment events On-the-Job Training (OJT) Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) Subsidized employment opportunities Assess employer hiring and training needs and connect businesses with available workforce development resources. Utilize ETO and other systems to document employer contacts, services, and outcomes. Partnership Coordination Coordinate and support one or more Regional Sector Partnerships (RSPs). Organize and facilitate quarterly partnership meetings, leadership meetings, and action team meetings. Develop work plans and support implementation of partnership priorities. Monitor progress of initiatives and prepare data-driven and narrative reports. Strengthen collaboration among employers, workforce partners, educators, and community stakeholders. Champion and model CWP core values. What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Counseling, Education, or a related technical field. Minimum of five years of relevant experience in workforce development, business engagement, partnership coordination, economic development, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Experience working directly with employers and industry partners. Knowledge of workforce development programs and systems. Familiarity with the technology, IT, or manufacturing sectors. Strong public speaking, facilitation, and relationship-building skills. Experience with outreach, training, business development, or sales. Ability to analyze information and present findings through reports and presentations. Commitment to serving diverse communities and building inclusive partnerships. Special Working Conditions Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Local travel throughout North Central Connecticut is required. Occasional regional and national travel may be required.
