SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Law or other relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience in business services or tax advisory services in a chartered accounting or law firm environment.
  • A good understanding of the Australian tax system, tax legislation, and the different types of business structures.
  • Demonstrates solid capabilities in research, analysis, and thoughtful problem-solving.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for an individual passionate about tax and driven to grow their career in private tax and strategic advisory team.
You will be joining a team of high-performing and skilled individuals who are committed to delivering practical and commercial advice to allow proper communication and real value for clients. The team is also committed to supporting your professional development through hands-on coaching and mentoring by senior team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have an opportunity to advise privately held and family businesses from a broad range of industries. You will get the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement commercial and tax-efficient strategies, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Research and analyse tax technical issues across a broad range of tax areas (Division 7A, tax residency, CGT concessions and rollovers, trust law, withholding tax, tax consolidation, loss testing, international tax, etc.).
  • Build relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and managers to deliver exceptional and pragmatic client service.
