The Business Services Representative is responsible for building new and maintaining current relationships with businesses for placement opportunities. Conducts regular site visits to employers as well as to other workforce offices to provide in-depth education regarding hiring trends and to provide feedback on training programs available to clients and participants. This recruitment position provides an instrumental role in assisting jobseekers get back into the workforce and will collaborate & partner with positions such as: Business Development Principle (BDP), Career Coaches, Office Managers, Quality, Training professionals and others to meet the needs of clients and participants. Responsibilities: Maintains current and develops new relationships with businesses for related job placement opportunities (accounts), gaining a full understanding of business objectives, employer skill-set needs, and position responsibilities/duties Acts as a liaison between employers and the workforce system at large Consults with employers on job profiles and potential candidates, ensuring that candidates are considered and compared against job requirements and desired qualifications, acting as a resource throughout the process Identifies, screens, evaluates and presents qualified candidates for the available positions Documents open job requisitions received from employers within required National Able data system for tracking Pitches subsidized employment programs as needed to employers (OJT, paid internships), writes and manages documentation associated with work subsidy reimbursement Professionally coaches job seekers on best practices for interviewing, salary negotiation and their overall job search; May participate in job fairs and set up of booth Keeps abreast of market trends pertaining to new technologies, hiring trends within the industry, certifications, and overall best practices Obtains and analyzes information about the industry, including hiring trends , training, and program feedback Utilizes various internet sites, social media, personal networks and knowledge-base to effectively manage resources Cold calls businesses, assesses qualifications, technology and negotiates opportunities Educates workforce system staff and participants about the industry, including hiring trends and program feedback Travels to various National Able locations as well as employer locations to build relationships and identify opportunities for clients Responsible for meeting weekly, monthly and annual goals per program requirements Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or other employment database software systems used in workforce development programs Must be adept at developing rapport, interacting effectively, and when necessary, resolving conflicts with diverse personnel Superior problem-solving and organizational skills along with high attention to detail and consistent reliable follow-through Prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and achieve performance metric Energetic, adaptable team player who can work collaboratively and autonomously Must be able to generate own employer leads from approved sources Read and interpret documents such as job descriptions and requirements.
