Leading the SETS transformation presents exciting challenges, including migrating from a legacy mainframe system to a cloud-based, microservices-driven architecture while ensuring data integrity and security. You will need to balance innovation with reliability, introducing new technologies while maintaining system performance, and stability for existing users. As a supervisor of a team you will need to manage diverse skill sets, foster collaboration, and guide developers at different expertise levels to use new tools and techniques to build solutions. Duties include but are not limited to: Build, lead and manage one of four application development teams, ensuring high-quality enterprise solutions. Architect and optimize applications using C#/.NET, MS SQL, and Microsoft Azure, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. Implement Agile methodologies to foster collaboration, accelerate feature delivery, and maintain high development standards. Mentor and develop team members, encouraging technical growth through code reviews and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Partner with stakeholders, including project managers, business teams, and IT leadership, to drive successful project execution. Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, aligning development strategies with organizational goals. Lead troubleshooting efforts, resolving complex technical issues and ensuring system stability in production environments. Empower and support staff by fostering growth through coaching, skill development, continuous learning opportunities, and meaningful career advancement initiatives. Schedule: 8 hour shift, between 7am-6pm as determined in consultation with supervisor, Monday through Friday. This position will be required to work outside normal work hours and scheduled shift in the event of emergencies and service outages. Travel: No regular travel expected. Pay Information This position is in the State of Ohio’s E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 16. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $47.50 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
