Responsibilities

THE KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

The Business Solutions Director has overall responsibility for distribution technology, data, processes and Client Group change for the APAC Client Group. This encompasses businesses and users in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Australia with stakeholders in China.
As a relationship manager, the candidate will partner with the regional CEO and their leadership team. The candidate will have line management responsibilities for a team of BAs, Operations Analysts and other delivery resources which flex with project and business demands. The candidate will have leadership responsibilities in the broader global Client Infrastructure group with oversight of work delivery in Nashville, London, San Antonio, New York and Pune.

THERE ARE FOUR KEY ELEMENTS TO THE ROLE.

Strategy Development
The Business Solutions Director will own, develop and execute against a shared business and technology vision and roadmap - bringing together global strategic initiatives and regional or local needs and goals. The individual must understand relative business priorities and champion technology priorities so they are aligned.
Solution Discovery
The role is underpinned by a solid business analysis skillset; a key principle being to drive business outcomes, solve problems and capitalize on opportunities by bringing a specialist understanding of local Client Group staff, markets, processes and data/technology.
The ability to initiate and drive change is key - developing business cases and appraising technology investments, understanding ROI, researching options or alternatives and presenting actionable decisions to stakeholders.
Delivery
In addition to a strategic mindset, the candidate will be ‘hands on’ - an ability to ‘roll up sleeves’ and get stuck into project delivery, project management, managing budgets, vendor relationships, and driving organizational change are all requirements of the role.
Consultancy
The Business Solutions Director should bring valued strategic consultancy style support, guidance and coaching to stakeholders and business partners through key change initiatives.
Demonstrable examples of thought leadership, research or championing differentiated or innovative opportunities is key.
A ‘fixer’ mentality is also a huge advantage - being able to spot issues or interface/solve problems builds trust and goodwill and helps resolve broader technology-related issues.
The candidate will collaborate with sales, marketing, client servicing, business development, and transformation teams across the region and represent them as it relates to technology innovation, process improvement, and ongoing development. The candidate will participate in strategy definition and execution for the region, in partnership with business and technology leaders globally.
The candidate will be responsible for documenting business requirements, technical specs, and testing plans for new and existing tools, completing data analysis needed to support ongoing business needs, and liaising with technical project team to deliver on priorities and generate results.
Success will be measured by the candidate’s ability to enhance the Client Group’s ability to connect with current and prospective clients, purposefully offer distinctive products and services, and develop tools to support the business
