We are seeking an experienced design strategist who is passionate about human-centered design, innovation, and digital transformation.
In this role, you will collaborate with experience designers, business strategists, engineers, data scientists, and other professionals to identify new opportunities and develop compelling value propositions and solutions that are consumer-driven, financially viable, and technologically feasible.
Design strategists work across a range of industries, product types, and service areas. This position will initially focus on improving the public transportation experience for travelers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience in management consulting, innovation consulting, design consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field
  • BA/BS or post-graduate degree in a design or creative field (e.g., design, art, etc.), a field studying people’s behavior (e.g., anthropology, psychology, history, etc.), or an analytical field (e.g., engineering, business, economics, etc.)
  • Expert in consulting with senior-level clients
  • Experience applying design thinking methods to business challenges
  • Excellent presentation, communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Hand on experience working in project and client management
  • History working collaboratively with teammates from diverse skill sets (e.g., designers, engineers)
  • Past work managing and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Background in transportation and/or customer service is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Act as a senior-level client partner, helping clients develop and articulate a clear and innovative vision for their business in the near-, mid-, and long-term
  • Drive innovation programs with an emphasis on customer experience and systems thinking
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams through all phases of project work, including client alignment, understanding context, developing insights, exploring and defining opportunities, creating actionable design expressions, developing business rationale, and helping clients go to market
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative information to uncover meaningful insights
  • Develop and define new ideas for products, services, and experiences that will engage consumers and contribute to business success
  • Weave together multiple streams of work into compelling, logical client presentations and share them confidently with executive-level clients
  • Create innovation roadmaps to help clients move from strategy to implementation
  • Build and nurture client relationships
  • Collaborate with account managers and other team members to generate new business opportunities
