QUALIFICATIONS:

GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, with strong literacy and numeracy skills

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ability to learn new IT systems quickly
  • Experience working in a business administration environment
  • Experience in minute-taking, ideally within safeguarding or similarly sensitive contexts
  • Comfortable working with confidential and challenging information
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Familiarity with systems such as Impulse, Nexus, or Content Manager (TRIM) is highly desirable
Responsibilities

WHAT’S INVOLVED WITH THIS ROLE:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to join our team within the SEND and Inclusion Service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-focused environment and has experience with information systems, data cleansing, and administrative project support.
The successful candidate will support a specific project focused on data cleansing, archiving, and improving operational systems. You’ll also assist with wider business support duties, including supporting meetings, managing correspondence, maintaining data systems, and providing high-quality administrative support across the service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of both electronic and manual information systems
  • Perform data cleansing and archiving of records to ensure systems are up to date, accurate, and aligned with service standards
  • Provide high-quality administrative support including minute taking, drafting correspondence, booking venues/travel, and organising meetings
  • Maintain and update internal and external communications such as website and intranet content
  • Support with financial processes, procurement of goods and services, and producing budget-related information for managers
  • Be a first point of contact for service-specific enquiries, demonstrating professionalism and excellent customer service
