The Opportunity | Te Kōwhiringa Downer is looking for a proactive and organised Business Support Administrator to join our Taranaki team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality administrative and business support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders. This role is a maternity leave cover, fixed term from October to February 2027. What you’ll be doing: Deliver general administration support, including filing, ordering supplies, travel bookings, mail, and courier coordination. Support financial processes such as month-end reporting, purchase orders, and accruals. Assist with onboarding, inductions, and staff support, including PPE and corporate clothing management. Provide frontline service to clients, visitors, and staff, including reception and meeting coordination. Support implementation of new programmes, product launches, and business initiatives. Ensure compliance with Downer’s Zero Harm and sustainability standards. Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Matua Proven experience in administration or business support roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems is an advantage. Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail. A collaborative team player who can build positive relationships across all levels. A proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills. Current NZ driver’s licence preferred.
