BUSINESS SUPPORT ANALYST - MIDDLE OFFICE/DERIVATIVES:

On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Business Support Analyst - Middle Office/Derivatives for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BUSINESS SUPPORT ANALYST - MIDDLE OFFICE/DERIVATIVES - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will join the Compression and Derivative Support team (CMPIRD), a division of the Fixed Income Missile office (FIMO). The role involves supporting day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) activities, focusing on Portfolio Compressions, Brokerage, and monitoring ad hoc life cycle events with potential downstream implications.

BUSINESS SUPPORT ANALYST - MIDDLE OFFICE/DERIVATIVES - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Middle office experience (P&L risk, trades)
• Knowledge of Interest Rate Derivatives (IRS, cross currency, futures & options)
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with traders
• Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation

BUSINESS SUPPORT ANALYST - MIDDLE OFFICE/DERIVATIVES – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience with Calypso
• Knowledge of corporate actions and bonds
• Compression experience
• Experience with Power BI for creating dashboards

• Manage and report on Global CCP Portfolio Compressions
• Reconcile and pay Interest Rate Derivative Brokerage and Fees
• Perform ad hoc bulk action tasks and post Corporate Action events
• Resolve queries related to Risk, P&L, and Funding discrepancies
• Identify and resolve trade-level cash breaks
• Support infrastructure improvements and local business initiatives
• Collaborate with FIMO teams for life cycle maintenance post-trade execution
• Maintain procedures in line with regulatory requirements
