Job Details Job Location: Listening Ear Crisis Center - Mount Pleasant, MI 48804 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $15.00 - $16.88 Job Shift: Day Position Summary: The Business Support Assistant – Facilities Team Member is a full time position that supports the Director of IT and Facilities in the daily operations of a diverse property portfolio. This role involves regular interaction with employees, residents, and vendors, requiring strong human relations and computer skills. Flexibility and adaptability are essential. Reporting and Supervision Director of IT and Facilities Essential Job Functions Enter data related to rent payments, work orders, and generate related reports. Interact professionally with employees, vendors, residents, on a daily basis. Monitors and ensures compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to housing operations. Supports the Property Manager in maintaining all facilities—including buildings, grounds, public spaces, roads, parking areas, and laundry rooms—in alignment with organizational policies and maintenance standards. Support the mission, vision, and goals of Listening Ear. This is not an exhaustive list of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described. Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exceptional organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Accurate and efficient data entry capabilities Clear, professional, and effective communication skills Self-motivated and able to work independently with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build respectful and collaborative relationships with both tenants and team members. Ability to set appropriate boundaries, maintain professional roles, and intervene effectively to support clients. Education and Experience Required: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Prior work experience in a business office or customer service. Background Checks Due to the regulated nature of Listening Ear, selected candidates for employment will be subject to a rigorous criminal background check process. Schedule, Travel Expectations, Working Conditions This position has minimal travel expectations. This position primarily works in an office setting. Physical Requirements May require lifting up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting in front of a computer screen and answering telephone calls. Must pass a basic physical and TB test
