Background and purpose of the assignment: Considering the growth of WFP’s portfolio of supply chain interagency services to the humanitarian community, and against a backdrop of unprecedented humanitarian emergencies, UNHRD is looking to develop a stronger knowledge base and reporting unit in support of advocacy efforts and evidence-based decision-making. The incumbent will provide information management and communications support to the UNHRD Network by assisting with data collection, reporting, knowledge management, and outreach activities. The role contributes to operational efficiency and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Title: Business Support Assistant (Information Management) Level: SC-4 Salary: Starting from AED 16,707.47 per month (inclusive of pension), plus medical insurance and other entitlements. Duty station: Dubai, UAE Duration of Employment: 12 months with possibility of extension. This position is open for UAE nationals and/or those holding a valid UAE residency visa. Under the direct supervision of the Information Management Officer and the overall supervision of the Head of the Strategy Cell, the incumbent will have the following: Key Responsibilities Assist in consolidating data and information inputs from UNHRD Network for divisional and corporate reporting, donor reporting or other external exercises. Assist in consolidating inputs from UNHRD Network for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) quarterly reporting updates. Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reporting products (e.g. Year in Review, hub factsheets, operational updates). Support the development of new IM products and the improvement of existing ones to enhance communications and information sharing coordination. Support knowledge management by maintaining and regularly updating information and collaboration platforms and repository (Teams, SharePoint site, document libraries, UNHRD Manual). Support the drafting and formatting of knowledge products (SOPs, FAQs, manuals) and ensure records are well organized and accessible. Support operational and outreach activities by maintaining partners and network contact information up to date. Contribute inputs to newsletters, presentations, and other outreach tools to strengthen visibility and partner engagement. Provide logistical and note-taking support during internal meetings, workshops, and consultations. Perform other related duties as required in support of UNHRD operations. Qualifications & Experience Education: Completion of secondary school. Additional coursework in in communications, Administration, Information Management or Journalism, Business Management, Public Policy, Social Sciences or relevant field is an asset. Additional training in information management, communications, or related fields is desirable. Experience: At least 4 years of progressively responsible support experience in information management, communications, or administrative functions. Experience with data handling, reporting tools, or knowledge management platforms is an advantage. Previous experience and knowledge of Supply Chain and Delivery operations is desirable. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with SharePoint, intranet platforms, or other collaborative information systems. Strong attention to detail in drafting, formatting, and data entry. Competencies: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
