We are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Some posts may be exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to these posts will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
We offer a wide range of benefits designed to attract, develop, and reward our employees such as 40 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), flexible working and a generous pension plan
As a Business Support Assistant, you will report to a Business Support Team Manager who manages their own service area within Children’s Services, and they will ensure that you get all the support, training and development you need to be able to successfully undertake your role.
You will join a team of 12 Business Support Officers who cover 15 teams on a day-to-day basis supporting and assisting the teams with finance requests and updating children’s records. You will provide any administrative support the teams may need and will be responsible for children’s files ensuring that all the information is correct on the system (including minutes and supervisions). To support your work, you will have access to Microsoft CoPilot and Microsoft Teams Premium.
Whilst primarily assisting this service you will also be a team player in the wider Business Support service, as you will be required alongside all Business Support Assistants to have a flexible approach in supporting other areas and at times may even be required to work elsewhere across the directorate.
