QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

You’ll be an excellent communicator, with a customer-focussed approach and the ability to interact at all levels. You’ll also be quick to learn have a keen eye for detail.

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A*-C (including Maths and English) or BTech equivalents.
  • Ability to effectively manage a varied and busy workload.
  • Able to work with the minimum of supervision, in line with established policies and procedure.
  • Achieved or willing to obtain a Level 3 Certificate in Building Control. (we will fund you through this qualification as part of a training agreement)

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • To assist customers who wish to submit a Building Regulations application, by gathering information and accurately entering it onto a bespoke software system and ensuring all relevant information is obtained and undertaking all statutory consultations related these applications in accordance with agreed procedures and legislation.
  • To check deposited Building Regulation plans for sufficient information including measuring plans, obtaining site investigation reports, and detailing all findings and corrective actions.
  • Contacting applicants/agents to request further information/payment where necessary. Input/update all appropriate records and chase up outstanding information/fees for validation where not immediately forthcoming.
  • To assist the surveying team in preparing the project files ready for final audit including collating all necessary completion documents, commissioning certificates and declarations and assessing them for compliance.
  • Answering general emails and postal correspondence with clients and suppliers
  • Providing administrative support to other sections as required
