About the role In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative, purchasing and financial support to the City Infrastructure Division. You will coordinate purchase orders, resolve supplier and payment queries, maintain accurate records and data, and support the ongoing improvement of systems and processes. Working closely with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, you will deliver excellent customer service, provide accurate information to support decision-making, and contribute to the efficient operation of the team. Work type: Permanent Full-time Classification: Band 5 $83,436 pa plus super Key responsibilities include: * Deliver a range of day-to-day routine financial management activities accurately and effectively within agreed timelines. * Preparing and processing purchase orders, data collection and basic analysis and responding to and resolving purchasing and payment matters. * Respond to queries and resolve issues with supplier charging or payments. * Liaise with Procurement Services to update relevant information in Oracle purchases under contract. * Be open to change and development; Set and work towards achieving agreed professional development goals. * Participate in working groups, project teams and undertake other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate in the role, as required. * Support the delivery of activities aligning efforts with the department goals to meet business and customer needs. About you To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated skills in a similar position and working knowledge and/or general understanding of financial and purchasing systems (e.g. Oracle) and the following: Essential: * Well developed numeracy, analytical and problem solving skills. * People skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders. * Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to liaise effectively to obtain cooperation from management, staff at all levels and various stakeholders. * Highly developed attention to detail. * Well developed Microsoft Word and Excel skills. * Ability to work to plan and manage time effectively. * Ability to work independently or in a team environment as required by the task. * Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
