The Regional VAWDASV Team is hosted by Newport City Council and supports the five Gwent local authorities, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and Welsh Ambulance Service Trust (‘Relevant Authorities’ within the Gwent footprint), in meeting the obligations of the Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) (Wales) Act, 2015.
The team is looking to recruit an experienced Business Support Officer to support all business-related functions associated with the successful operations of the regional team. We are seeking a motivated and innovative individual with knowledge of O365 packages, multi-agency communication platforms (e.g., Teams Channels, Sway) as well as experience of administrative and financial procedures.
The role will involve:
 Responding to first line enquiries from partners through the management of the regional team inbox
 Making arrangements for regional meetings, including production of high-quality minutes and recording decisions
Supporting and assisting with VAWDASV campaigns and projects,
 Supporting and assisting with the regional Communities of Practice events, specifically with digital tools (e.g., Slido), the VAWDASV Ticket Tailor account and VAWDASV social media page
 Raising purchase orders and the on-going recording, monitoring and housekeeping associated with the financial procedures linked to the VAWDASV budget
You will be required to have experience of working across statutory and third sector partners in multi-agency and multi-partner environments, as well as significant experience of digital engagement tools for developing, maintaining, and managing communications and messaging of the team with partners across the region.
