Are you interested in delivering excellent customer service and providing first class business support to a busy service? Have you got the skills we need, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn? Do you have a high level of ICT skills, a willingness to constantly review and improve our ways of working, be able to operate with a high level of numerical and verbal accuracy and have excellent customer focus and organisational skills? If so, we would like to hear from you.
The successful candidates will be highly organised, proactive and team players with excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and follow standard operating procedures.
You will be required to demonstrate experience of working with both internal and external customers to a high level of satisfaction. You will need accuracy and attention to detail to input data reported to authorising and regulatory bodies.
You will need to be competent in the use of IT packages (Excel, Outlook, Teams etc). Good written and spoken English is required.
The roles are a mix of office based for the Northern General and hybrid. However, you will be expected to spend some days in the office per week. This is kept under review in line with service demands.
You will be required to provide cover during opening hours and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement.
We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share. Please contact melissa.kelly@sheffield.gov.uk for more information.
We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups. We value equality, diversity and inclusion and are focused on increasing the diversity of our workforce, particularly the number of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Disabled and LGBTQ+ people, so that our teams reflect the communities in the city we serve. We are also supporting staff with unpaid caring responsibilities to work flexibly.
It is a great time to join us, and we welcome your application.
Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of these jobs, are guaranteed an interview.
