Job description
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Business Support Officer to provide efficient and effective business support to the team, internal and external customers.
The Business Support Officer role sits within the Licensing Hub alongside other hub services such as Building Control & Development Control, Parking Services, Environmental Services, Planning Records & Enquiries and Service Support. Each department work closely with linked Services. You may be required to provide Business Support to other teams within the Hub at any stage of the appointment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages and experience of learning new IT systems
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to create, maintain, and enhance productive working relationships with customers, colleagues, line managers, team members, and a variety of people at all levels internal and external to the organisation
  • Ability to listen, gather information, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with a range of people both internal and external to the organisation
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to work at a variety of work locations and away from the normal base
  • Demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and ability to be adaptable
    The role offers some flexibility with a mixture of home and office working following full training. This is kept under review in line with Service demands. You will be based at Staniforth Road but may be asked to work at Howden House to meet needs of the Hub Service.

    If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
