OVERVIEW

Cumbre Consulting is a family owned business with two principal consultants and several key contractors. It is based in Emu Creek Victoria and has contracts statewide and nationally. The business provides the following services: Farm Business Planning, Farm Management, Rural Land Management Planning, Environmental Management Planning, Land Capability Assessment, Native Vegetation Assessment and appearing as an Expert Witness at VCAT hearings. The business was established by Gavin and Heather Beever in 1997, (www.cumbre.com.au).
Clients include individuals, businesses, groups, private organisations, State and Federal Departments, Town Planning Businesses, Civil Engineering Businesses, Surveyors, Lawyers, Research and Development Corporations and Local Councils throughout Victoria; such as the City of Greater Bendigo, Shire of Mitchell, Shire of Macedon Ranges, Shire of Mt Alexander, Shire of Loddon, Shire of Central Goldfields and the Shire of Hepburn.
The family business also farms in four locations (three are cattle and one broad acre cropping), it also has an Angus Stud and an agricultural contracting enterprise. The position will accommodate flexible working hours and a working from home component. The business enjoys creating a high functioning Cumbre Consultants team, who achieve their goals and really enjoy doing so.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate III/IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administration role preferred.

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

The Administration Officer will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of the business. The role involves creation of office procedures, document/report creation and management, desk topping publishing, general office administration, client liaison, project support and coordination of day‑to‑day business functions in an agricultural and environmental consulting setting. There will be opportunities to participate in field work, if the employee is interested.
