SUMMARY:

Under Tech Modernization program, we are transforming the way Huntington’s IT Core systems interact. Our key objectives include enabling our IT partners to deliver business value through capabilities established using simplified, modern, flexible, and scalable technologies and patterns to faster value to market, risk reduction, vendor viability and enable growth and expansion.
The SOAP to REST Product Owner will serve on the SOAP to REST Scrum team. whose goals are to manage migrating SOAP Service to REST format across the existing platforms, build new capabilities therein, and support onboarding of applications to the platform offerings.
The role will assist Product Architecture and Product Manager in identifying tactical solutions and subsequent prioritization of roadmap execution.
The Product Owner will also be responsible for managing cross impact application engagement, among other responsibilities.
This role requires the individual to and have the aptitude to understand the team’s overarching Event-Driven technology capabilities, such that s/he can assist the team leads in appropriate decomposition, prioritization, and implementation of the work.
To be successful the candidate must be driven, well-organized, and give strong attention to detail. It is essential for this individual to be self-motivated, a driver, decisive, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced and nimble environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst in any type of delivery framework on an agile team writing user stories/requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Agile practices and delivery
• Software Development for technical aspects of product development (coding/programming, architecture, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with RESTful microservices or understanding of the concepts associated

• Build the team’s feature and user story backlogs and assist in their prioritization and goals
• Act as a subject-matter expert who understands technology
