BUSINESS/SYSTEM ANALYST - SENIOR:

Procom is searching for a Business/System Analyst - Senior for a 16 month part-time contract. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

BUSINESS/SYSTEM ANALYST - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a senior business & system analyst working for the IT Planning and Development Services (PDS) Application Intake Modernization (AIM) program, you will be responsible for transforming existing intake systems to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction. This involves leveraging emerging technologies such as AI and automation to streamline permit applications.

BUSINESS/SYSTEM ANALYST - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Five (5) years experience as a Senior Business/System Analyst or Technical Lead
  • Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Five (5) years experience in data analysis
  • Experience in Software Development Methodologies
  • Experience in software package application implementations/system development projects
  • Experience in business impact and risk and value analysis
  • Experience developing in .NET, JavaScript, JQuery, Backbone, and Angular

BUSINESS/SYSTEM ANALYST - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Aptitude to work autonomously and make decisions daily with little supervision
  • Ability to mentor technical and functional resources
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience in project management, planning, reporting, and estimating
Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, develop, and oversee the transformation of existing intake systems
  • Ensure that system innovation meets functional, performance, security, and quality requirements
  • Assess business requirements and develop high-level architecture and detailed design documents
  • Lead developers and develop architectural approaches
  • Work with business clients in PDS to create a unified intake and inquiry system for public-facing permit applications
  • Develop and execute knowledge base strategy
  • Establish an analytical engine to generate meaningful metrics and trend forecasting
