Job Description:

The Business Analyst for IS Applications is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions that support business objectives. This role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IS teams, ensuring that application requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered effectively.

• Analyze organizational information challenges, current processes, and procedures; recommend and implement new processes that improve system efficiency, productivity, consistency, controls and protocols across the enterprise.
• Orchestrate and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate and document business requirements for IT applications.
• Lead requirements workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions.
• Evaluate existing IT applications and recommend improvements or new solutions to optimize business processes.
• Identify and resolve issues or gaps in requirements and processes.
• Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models as needed.
• Work closely with developers, QA, and project managers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Validate applications to ensure the functionalities are working per designed.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis and IT applications.
• Provide user support, investigate and resolve issues of IT applications.
• Adhere to IS change control procedures.
• Create and maintain end to end business process functionality documentation for Microchip standard practices.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with business process modeling, requirements management tools, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills in evaluating and interpreting end user information requirements, trouble shooting, problem solving, data extraction.
• Experience with scenario development, test case construction, flowcharting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Experience in a specific domain (e.g. finance, supply chain, procurement) is preferred.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and problem solving.
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
• Must be able to maintain a “Big Picture” perspective.
• Study current practices, think outside the box, and foster creative analysis to complex problems.
• Have strong time management, project management, and presentation skills.
• Adapt quickly to priority changes.
• Be self-driven.
• Work independently and in a team to develop innovative.
