Position Summary:
MDVIP is seeking a talented Business Systems Analyst II to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate across multiple departments to understand requirements, translate them into actionable technical plans, and guide projects from concept to successful launch. You’ll work closely with vendors and IT teams, oversee testing and deployment, and ensure end-users are trained and supported. Reporting to the Executive Director of Business Solutions, you’ll play a key role in delivering systems that drive efficiency, innovation, and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Streamline business processes using process improvement methods (e.g., Six Sigma) to prepare for automation.
 - Manage operational support, enhancements, and technology implementation projects using project management best practices.
 - Ensure solutions meet quality standards and minimize operational risk through effective QA practices.
 - Partner with end users to analyze needs, build business cases, and define project value.
 - Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications (e.g., diagrams, use cases, process flows, data samples, documentation).
 - Plan and deliver user training on new systems and tools.
 - Oversee vendor relationships to ensure deliverables meet scope, quality, schedule, cost, and best practice standards.

- Business–Technology Translation: Ability to clearly convert business needs into detailed technical requirements, diagrams, and documentation.
 - Project & Process Management: Skilled in managing timelines, scope, and resources, while streamlining workflows for system automation.
 - Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong aptitude for diagnosing issues, identifying process improvements, and creating data-driven solutions.
 - Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Effective at working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and executives to align goals and outcomes.
 - Technical & SDLC Proficiency: Solid understanding of system architecture, integration, and the software development life cycle to guide solution delivery.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information, System or equivalent studies/relevant work experience.
 - Two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar role (e.g. Business Analyst, Systems Analyst).
 - Proven experience with enterprise business applications, including CRM, BI, with hands-on expertise in CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and BI project delivery.
 - Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to effectively manage, coordinate, or contribute to development activities
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training or certifications in Business Process Optimization/Business Process Excellence (e.g. Six Sigma).
 - Experience in AGILE projects (Scrum Master, etc.).
 - Demonstrated experience in contracting and managing external vendors and technical teams (including offshore resources).
