On behalf of our Finance Technology client, Procom is searching for a Business Systems Analyst - Treasury x2 for a 6-month role

BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - TREASURY X2 - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This project involves changing processes and creating an adjustment framework for treasury feeds, as well as the transformation and integration of Canadian feeds for treasury. The role focuses on optimizing and tuning performance for Spark SQL statements and collaborating with the technology team to implement requirements.

BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - TREASURY X2 - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 8+ years of experience working on large scale projects
  • 4+ years of experience with data analysis
  • Familiarity with optimization and performance tuning of SQL statements
  • Familiarity with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and strong relationship building skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - TREASURY X2 – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience in financial services industry, specifically in Capital Markets and Treasury
  • Experience with Big Data and NoSQL databases (Hadoop/HBase/Spark)
  • Experience with Spark SQL
  • Previous exposure to the banking industry
  • Familiarity with tech stacks like Java, Hadoop, Azure Cloud
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, document, and validate business rules requirements from business users
  • Write and test Spark SQL statements to translate business requirements into programming code
  • Optimize performance and tune Spark SQL statements
  • Use Visual Studio (SQL Integration Services) to analyze SSIS packages
  • Analyze multiple system builds and update project requirements documentation
  • Collaborate with the technology team and provide guidance during the QA process
  • Participate in standup and planning meetings as part of the Agile methodology framework
