QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:

• 3-5 years as a Business Systems Developer or comparable experience.
• 1-3 years of experience working with reporting suites such as SSRS/SSAS, Crystal, Power BI, Tableau, or other enterprise-class reporting tools.
• 1-3 years of experience working with integration suites such as SSIS.
• 1-3 years of experience with SQL Server
• 1-3 years of experience in .Net and/or C# programming technologies
• Experience with Epicor Prophet21 a major plus.
• Proficient experience using Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a Windows operating system.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Thorough knowledge of data architecture and data management principles.
• Deep understanding of database systems including both relational and OLAP designs.
• Proven experience in sound development practices.
• Relevant experience with enterprise reporting and development technologies.
• Able to execute on tactical issues while keeping the broader picture intact.
• Excellent priority and time management skills.
• Ability to effectively implement multiple projects.
• Strong SQL and report development and optimization experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to partner with colleagues and provide technical support.

JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY:

The Business Systems Developer, reporting to the Director of Information Technology, will leverage development best practices to design, develop, and support internal reporting solutions and ensure the integrity and availability of the Pearlman Group’s business applications, databases, and reporting environment.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated and driven to investigate and resolve issues with applications and data integrations while balancing multiple projects. The candidate will have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills as well as the ability to work directly with business leaders to design and develop new solutions to support both new and existing business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Business Systems Developer will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Responsible for building, supporting, and troubleshooting reports and integration processes.
• Maintain data integration and report job schedules and data dependencies.
• Responsible for the development of business applications and ongoing improvements within existing technologies.
• Responsible to work with business users to define and document requirements.
• Ability to prioritize work and exercise good judgment while managing multiple tasks involved in support, development, and project management.
• Can function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer-oriented team, perform effectively as an independent producer under broad management direction, and demonstrate a willingness to support the team on all levels to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
• Provide end-user training on the use of reporting and analytics tools.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
