We are seeking a motivated and analytically-minded student to join our Corporate FinTech team as a Business Systems Engineer Intern. This internship provides hands-on experience in financial planning technology, working alongside senior Model Builders and our Anaplan Center of Excellence. You'll contribute to real FP&A solutions while developing technical skills in one of the leading enterprise planning platforms. Some things you'll gain and learn during this internship include: Hands-on experience with Anaplan, a leading enterprise planning platform Exposure to corporate finance and FP&A processes at a public company Mentorship from experienced Model Builders and technical professionals Understanding of system integration and automation in financial technology Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders Professional development in agile methodologies and project management Potential pathway to full-time opportunities within our growing FinTech organization Responsibilities: Assist in building and maintaining Anaplan dashboards, reports or models under the mentorship of senior Model Builders Support data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure model accuracy Participate in testing of model changes and updates Learn to translate simple business requirements into functional model components Opportunity to assist with basic data integrations and automation routines Provide first-level end-user support and troubleshooting Support FP&A use cases including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Participate in stakeholder meetings and training sessions Experience: Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree at a university in Canada (required) in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with a graduation date between December 2026 and Summer 2027 (required). For any candidates who are master's students who worked between their bachelor's and master's programs: candidates should also have less than 2 years of relevant full-time work experience Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Basic understanding of financial concepts (budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting) Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn new technologies Exposure to SQL, data analysis tools, or business intelligence platforms (preferred but not required) Interest in financial technology and enterprise software Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Self-motivated with ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment Prior internship or project experience with data analysis or business systems (a plus) Benefits: Mental health benefits In addition to holidays, interns receive 2 days paid time off and 3 days sick time off Subsidized commuter benefits Lyft is committed to creating an inclusive workforce that fosters belonging.
