POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Systems Manager is a strategic and hands-on member of the IT team responsible for leading the planning, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of critical business systems, including ERP, WMS, EDI, and other integrated platforms. This role serves as the key link between technology and business operations, ensuring that applications align with company objectives and deliver maximum value.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in IT or systems-related roles, with at least 2 years focused on business applications or enterprise systems.
• Strong knowledge of ERP, WMS, EDI, and eCommerce systems, with preferred experience in integrations among these platforms.
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage stakeholders across departments.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and technical consultants.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-process perspective.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or basic data structures is a plus.
• Excellent project management skills, including budget forecasting and maintaining timelines.

• Oversee the full lifecycle of business-critical applications, including selection, configuration, implementation, integration, upgrades, and user support.
• Lead cross-functional projects related to system rollouts, enhancements, or integrations, encompassing ERP, WMS, EDI, and eCommerce platforms.
• Manage all aspects of company EDI, including developing mappings and integrations, onboarding new trading partners, and monitoring and troubleshooting daily transaction flows.
• Apply strong project management practices to scope projects, coordinate internal and external teams, maintain timelines and milestones, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and plan new system implementations or upgrades, covering system selection, budgeting, project management, testing, training, and deployment.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand business needs and recommend system-based solutions.
• Maintain relationships with software vendors, consultants, and integration partners.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across integrated systems, including both back-end and front-end eCommerce components.
• Develop and maintain API connections between cloud-based and on-premise systems.
• Document system processes, data flows, and configurations thoroughly.
• Monitor system performance and technology utilization, identifying opportunities for improvement or automation.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies relevant to the business, particularly those impacting eCommerce, supply chain, and customer-facing integrations.
