Role Purpose The Business Unit Director, Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic Diseases (CVRM) is a key member of the Korea Country Leadership Team, accountable for accelerating growth, delivering successful launches, expanding patient access, and strengthening AstraZeneca’s leadership in Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic Diseases The role combines commercial leadership with enterprise leadership - driving business performance while building organizational capability, developing future leaders, fostering a high-performance culture, and shaping the long-term success of AstraZeneca Korea. Key Accountabilities 1. Drive Business Growth & Market Leadership Deliver sustainable growth, market leadership, and strong financial performance across the CVRM portfolio. Develop and execute strategies aligned with local, regional, and global priorities. Identify growth opportunities and mitigate business risks. Advise the Country President and Leadership Team on strategic priorities and investments. 2. Lead Launch Excellence & Innovation Lead successful launches and cross-functional execution. Accelerate patient access and adoption of innovative medicines. Advance omnichannel and digital capabilities. Foster innovation, agility, and continuous improvement. 3. Build High-Performing Teams & Culture Create an inclusive, high-performance culture. Develop leadership capability and succession pipelines. Coach and mentor future leaders. Champion AstraZeneca values and leadership expectations. 4. Lead Across Enterprise Contribute as a member of the Korea Leadership Team. Build strong cross-functional and external partnerships. Experience & Capabilities Significant pharmaceutical leadership experience with a strong commercial track record. Proven success leading high-performing teams and launching innovative medicines. Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen. Experience leading transformation and change. Ability to influence across complex matrix organizations. Deep understanding of healthcare systems and market access. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. High standards of integrity and accountability. Ability to effectively manage strategic alliances preferred. Fluent English; Korean proficiency preferred.
