Description
This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President & General Manager for the FED division and is responsible for leading a business unit's day to day and strategic activities including but not limited to: driving organic and inorganic growth, product planning and development, product marketing, program execution, financial results (standard profit), operations coordination & leadership. Leads the Conveyance Business Unit integrated product team, which includes direct reports managing product line strategy, program management, manufacturing strategy, and sales, and indirect reports managing engineering, finance, HR, manufacturing programs, pricing, and contracts. Responsible for the growth portfolio including targeted program and/or customer wins by collaborating with all FED and Aerospace Group level functions. Develop and maintain a multi-year product roadmap that accounts for changing market dynamics, competitor actions, and new market entrants. Drive the standard profit and loss of the business unit's portfolio. Improve portfolio profitability by managing product pricing, product mix, customer mix and portfolio rationalization. Partner with the sales, engineering and commercial functions to capture Voice of Customer (VOC) and to ensure that the product and customer strategies are driven across multiple segments. Partners with operations and supply chain teams on the development of the manufacturing strategy for the global product line locations to address both short-term and long-term delivery and profitability targets. Collaborate with cross functional teams on SIOP and Demand Planning related to products within the business unit. Identifies strategic alliances / equity agreements with external organizations to support growth strategies. Collaborates with business leaders to determine where to invest in products and markets. Build organizational capability through focused staffing, development and succession planning. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience combining extensive global operations, finance and/or sales / marketing experience. Prior experience working with global teams Prior experience leading multi-site operations Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. Master's of Business Administation Direct experience in the aerospace industry a strong preference Position Criteria: Strong background in strategic planning and building organizational capability through communicating a vision that both engages and motivates the organization. Proven Low volume/high mix parts experience preferred.
