About the role Reporting directly to the Managing Director for ANZ, our new Business Unit Manager will oversee the management and leadership of the Food & Nutrition Business Unit, including supplier relationships, business development, and overall market growth and strategic vision across Australia & New Zealand. Responsibilities include: Maximise Gross Profit for products/suppliers by ensuring the continual availability of competitively priced quality goods Develop overall marketing programs for new and assigned products Prepare sales forecasts and annual targets for the Business Unit Analyse market trends and competitor products on the market to achieve accurate purchase planning and inventory control Source and develop new products, markets and supplier agencies Manage the volume of “stock on hand” Maintain current industry customer base and develop new customers / products Analyse global market trends in Food & Nutrition ingredients Development and management of a strong performing commercial team. About you Qualification- Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field, or extensive experience in the industry. Experience- Prior experience in a similar role is essential, with a proven hunger for sales and commercial acumen. IT Skills- Medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP systems is critical. Familiarity with JD Edwards would put you a step above the rest, but not required. Leadership- You will be mentoring and managing team members to create a high-performing and cohesive team Customer Focused- The integration of our customers, principals, and internal teams are the key to our success and being professional and customer focused will have you succeed in this role.
