Description

The Business Unit Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence, business growth, and team development within the plant. This individual is responsible for the overall performance of the business unit, including operations, sales, profitability, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in commercial sales, fabrication, and metals processing, combined with a results-driven leadership style and a passion for continuous improvement.
This role demands a hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, a customer-first approach, and a strong sense of accountability. Prior experience managing a P&L and leading cross-functional teams is essential.
This is a greenfield project. Part of the responsibility will be overseeing the building of the main building and the installation of the CTL line.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires up to 25% travel, including visits to customers, suppliers, or company locations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations
  • Proven experience with P&L ownership and operational management
  • Experience in metals, fabrication, or related industries is highly preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of basic metallurgy and industrial processing
  • Experience with ERP systems, Lean Manufacturing, and quality systems
  • Strong understanding of market trends and commercial strategies in metals
