Primary Objective of Bus Person / Room Service Position To support exceptional food and beverage service within the hotel by assisting restaurant staff in delivering prompt, courteous service to guests, while also ensuring timely, accurate, and professional room service that reflects the hotel’s standards of hospitality. Responsibilities * Clears and resets restaurant tables promptly, using proper methods to handle and stack dishes, glassware, and silverware * Cleans tables, chairs, and surrounding areas; maintains dining room cleanliness and presentation standards * Assists in maintaining a welcoming and organized dining environment for hotel guests * Pours water as guests are seated and assists with bread and butter service * Prepares and serves coffee and other beverages as requested during peak service periods * Polishes silverware and prepares linens in accordance with hotel standards * Communicates any guest concerns or dissatisfaction promptly to the appropriate team member or manager * Supports room service operations by preparing, delivering, and retrieving guest orders in a timely and professional manner * Ensures room service orders are accurate, well-presented, and delivered with a high level of hospitality * Maintains cleanliness and organization of room service equipment, trays, and service areas * Coordinates effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service * Adheres to all hotel safety, sanitation, and service standards * Performs other duties as assigned to support overall hotel operations   Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.  The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The employee is sometimes exposed to outside weather conditions, and frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools, hot external surfaces of kitchen cooking equipment.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud About Bartell Hotels: Bartell Hotels is San Diego's largest independent hotel owner-operator with a sharp focus on employees, customers and community.
