We are currently seeking an experienced Butcher to join our Foodhall team Responsibilities Assist the Head Butcher in running a successful department and to act as the manager in their absence. To help expand the product range including new product ideas and to ensure, efficient organisation and a consistently quality operation from preparation to packing and despatch. Be focused, energetic and practical ensuring good time management to achieve results and sales. Provide excellent, friendly, helpful customer service. Be prepared to go above and beyond to ensure high standards are consistently. Confidently answering enquires about products and offering cooking guidelines. Drive the junior members of the team to do the same. Plan and launch new products and ideas for the butchery counter. Liaise with the Head Butcher to ensure ordering is efficient and cost effective including negotiating with suppliers. Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring displays and signage are accurate and attractive. Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products. Adhering to food safety and HACCP standards. Creating and maintaining attractive displays Cutting, grinding and preparing meats for sale. Stock rotation and replenishment. The Person Qualified butcher A minimum of 3 years' of butchery experience. Enthusiastic, friendly, professional and approachable with a passion for food and customer-service. A deep passion for and knowledge of food Warm, vibrant, enthusiastic and welcoming to guests, and passionate about creating memorable experiences. Managerial experience in a butchery or as a chef. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and approachable manner. Excellent organisational abilities, with keen attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
