The Role
We’re looking for someone to work on the shop counter while also taking on some supervisory and managerial duties to support the owner. You’ll play a key role in helping the shop run smoothly day-to-day, particularly during busy periods or when covering management responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Serving and advising customers at the counter
Preparing and presenting high-quality fresh meat
Assisting with staff supervision and day-to-day running of the shop
Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are maintained

Helping with stock management, deliveries, and order

Experience Required
Retail butchery experience is essential
Strong knowledge of carcass butchery
Sausage-making experience a bonus, but not essential
A positive, professional attitude and ability to lead by example
The Wage
This is negotiable depending on experience and standard of work.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 48 per week
