Sterling Meat Company are looking to recruit experienced and qualified Butchery Managers and Assistant Managers to join the teams in our Yorkshire region.
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic business with the potential to develop your career.
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of retail management within the meat industry, will be personable and able to deliver excellent customer service through product knowledge and excellent communication, as well as being a highly skilled professional/technical butcher with good presentation, great leadership and customer service skills.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the store.
  • Monitoring sales and gross margin performance.
  • Driving sales to meet and exceed performance.
  • Managing food hygiene and HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and Company best practices
  • Managing health & safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and Company policies and procedures.
  • Cash handling procedures
  • Delivering outstanding customer service, meeting customer demand and expectations consistently.
  • Training, developing and motivating the team.
  • Smart and well-presented appearance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attendance/timekeeping.
  • Experience in butchery/meat cutting (boning out not required), preferably within a retail environment
  • Excellent leadership skills with a strong work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude.
