Description
We are looking for a Butchery Manager to join our team. We are located in beautiful Queenstown at 1/12 Hawthorne Drive, Remarkables Park, Queenstown, 9300.  Pay rate range for this position is $35.00-$38.50 hour. This is a permanent role that is 45 hours per week. The role is Tuesday-Saturday 5am-2.30pm. This roles relates to ANZSCO 322231 Butcher or Smallgoods Maker code. The role consists of ¾ Butchering and ¼ managerial tasks.    To apply you must have:   -Butcher Qualification level 4 -Must be skilled to Butcher Beef, Pork and Lamb -Must be skilled to process Chicken -Must be Skilled to make small goods ie sausages, schnitzel, mignons, roasts etc -Good communication skills -Willingness to learn -Work well in a team   About the role - key tasks, duties and responsibilities:   Selects and inspects meat to ensure quality and freshness Cuts, trims and prepares meat according to customer requirements Operates meat processing machines such as slicers, grinders, tenderisers and bandsaw Weighs, labels and packages meat products for sale or supply Maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards in meat preparation and display areas Manages inventory and order meat supplies as needed Creates and maintains attractive displays of meat products Assists customers to select and purchase meat products Prepares and produces smallgoods such as sausages and mignons Monitors the smallgoods production process to ensure quality, hygiene and efficiency Advises staff of the daily cutting/priority list Managers staff in the butchery team Communicates to owners about any comments or concerns regarding the butchery department Sets specials and promotions for the butchery department   If you are interested in a role with us please email your CV, Passport or NZ Birth Certificate and Visa (if applicable) to Ashley.McKenzie@newworld-si.co.nz to apply
