Job Description – Live-In Butler

Position: Live-In Butler

Location: Emirates Hills, Dubai, UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time | Live-In

Working Days: 6 days per week

Weekly Off: 1 day

Working Hours: 8–10 hours per day

Reporting To: Principal / Employer & House Manager

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly polished, professional, and service-oriented Live-In Butler to join a private household in Emirates Hills, Dubai. The ideal candidate will have experience in luxury hospitality, private households, or high-end residential service, with strong knowledge of formal service, guest relations, table settings, wine service, and household coordination.

The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, discretion, maturity, reliability, and the ability to provide seamless and personalized service to the Principal, family, and guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest & Front-of-House Service

• Welcome and professionally attend to guests and visitors.
• Provide refined front-of-house and personalized butler service.
• Assist with hosting private events, dinners, and gatherings.
• Maintain high standards of guest comfort and hospitality throughout the residence.

Food & Beverage Service

• Provide formal dining service, including silver service, plated service, and buffet service.
• Prepare and serve beverages, refreshments, and pantry items.
• Demonstrate knowledge of wine service and appropriate beverage presentation.
• Support mixology and beverage service when required.
• Ensure dining areas and service areas are prepared to the required standard.

Table Setting & Event Service

• Set dining tables according to the occasion and service style.
• Assist with themed table arrangements and special occasions.
• Coordinate and execute private dinner and event service.
• Maintain impeccable presentation during formal and informal gatherings.

Wardrobe & Personal Assistance

• Manage wardrobe-related requirements, including ironing, steaming, organizing, and maintaining clothing presentation.
• Assist with packing and unpacking for travel.
• Support personal shopping and assigned errands as required.

Household & Team Coordination

• Coordinate with housekeeping, culinary, and other household support staff.
• Supervise and assist housekeeping/cullinary/support teams when required.
• Coordinate with vendors and external service providers.
• Ensure household service requirements are communicated and completed efficiently.

General Butler Duties

• Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding the Principal and household.
• Anticipate the needs of the Principal and guests and provide proactive service.
• Maintain professional grooming, appearance, and etiquette at all times.
• Follow household protocols, service standards, and instructions from the Principal/House Manager.
• Handle additional household and personal service responsibilities as reasonably required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in luxury hotels, private households, or high-end hospitality.
• Strong silver service skills.
• Good wine knowledge and wine service experience.
• Knowledge of mixology/beverage service.
• Strong understanding of luxury hospitality and service protocols.
• Butler training or formal hospitality training is preferred.
• Excellent guest interaction and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a household team.
• Professional, discreet, mature, and reliable personality.
• English language proficiency is required.

Compensation

Salary: To be discussed based on experience and suitability.

The compensation package will include the benefits specified by the employer, subject to the final employment terms.
