JOB SUMMARY:
The Butter Process Technician is a critical member of our production team, responsible for overseeing the butter-making process from start to finish. This role ensures the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to upholding our rigorous food safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in a food manufacturing, dairy processing, or a related environment is highly desirable.
Experience with machine operation, CIP systems, and sanitation procedures is a strong plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures precisely.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Understanding of GMPs, food safety, and workplace safety protocols.
Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which may be wet, cool, and noisy.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, stooping, and climbing stairs/ladders.

Quality Assurance: Diligently perform and document all required quality checks (e.g., moisture, salt, weights at specified intervals to ensure the final product meets Minerva Dairy’s high standards.
Machine Operation: Execute the proper setup, startup, and efficient operation of butter processing and packaging machinery. Monitor equipment performance throughout the shift to maximize uptime and productivity.
Sanitation and Cleaning: Perform complete tear-down of equipment for sanitation. Execute Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Clean-Out-of-Place (COP) procedures thoroughly and effectively on all necessary machinery and parts.
Safety and GMP Compliance: Strictly adhere to all plant safety rules, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times. Actively promote a culture of safety and food quality awareness.
Troubleshooting: Identify and address minor operational issues with machinery, escalating more complex problems to maintenance staff as needed.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely logs for production, quality, and sanitation activities.
