ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Buy, Sell, Trade Representative at KEH Camera, you’ll play a vital role in connecting customers with the gear they need—whether they’re buying, selling, or trading. Your mission: guide customers through their gear journey by helping them find the perfect equipment, sell their pre-owned items, and trade for the latest tools. You’ll create lasting connections, solve challenges, and build relationships that fuel creativity, inspire confidence, and encourage brand loyalty. * Ensure customer satisfaction aligns with KEH’s Brand values while maintaining a positive, empathetic, and knowledgeable attitude towards customers * Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities as well as reach out to customers when requested items become available * Help customers with buying, selling and trading gear via phone calls and emails * Make gear suggestions and resolutions based on conversation with your customer * Troubleshoot customer issues * Follow-up on outstanding issues and requests * Respond to customer emails and voicemails in a timely manner while maintaining service levels * Help customers navigate digital interfaces * Manage orders on hold and take necessary steps to remove or delete orders * Maintain a positive, empathetic, and knowledgeable attitude towards customers * Achieve or exceed sales goals and SLAs * Adhere to KEH’s policies and procedures WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: * Experience: 3–5 years in phone sales or a customer-facing sales role. * Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to respond to emails, voicemails, and inquiries professionally and effectively. * Technical Interest: A passion for photography gear or a willingness to learn. * Education: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred but not required. * Customer-Focused Mindset: Proven ability to provide exceptional service that aligns with brand values while maintaining a positive, empathetic, and knowledgeable demeanor. You must love creating memorable experiences and solving challenges. * Relationship Management: Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify potential sales opportunities. * Sales Expertise: Ability to effectively assist customers with buying, selling, and trading gear, offering tailored recommendations to meet their needs. * Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to stay calm under pressure, troubleshoot complex customer inquiries with empathy and professionalism, resolve challenges efficiently, and provide clear solutions. * Follow-Up Mastery: Strong organizational skills to follow up on outstanding issues and promptly address customer concerns. * Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with navigating digital tools and interfaces to help customers manage orders and transactions and learn new systems quickly. * Detail-Oriented: Meticulous approach to managing orders, including taking necessary steps to resolve or remove holds, while adhering to company policies and procedures. * Goal-Oriented: Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets and service level agreements (SLAs). * Team Collaboration: Works effectively in a team environment, contributing ideas and feedback to improve processes and drive company success. * Conflict Resolution: Skilled at de-escalating tense situations and turning challenges into positive outcomes. * Time Management: Excellent at balancing multiple tasks, managing priorities, and staying organized in a fast-paced environment. * Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with CRM, ERP systems, and contact center tools to manage customer interactions efficiently. * Learning Agility: Enthusiastic about learning new systems, tools, and industry trends, especially related to photography gear. * Availability: Must be able to work 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST, with the occasional Sat Shift from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. * This is an on-location role. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
