Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 AM

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years University Degree, and/or PMAC Certificate in Purchasing
  • 3+ years in purchasing in a computerized MRP environment
  • 2+ years of Negotiation/Supplier Relationship experience
  • Sound knowledge of products and systems, division purchasing, and accounting policies (preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of purchasing techniques and supplier management (preferred)
  • Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Office and database management (preferred)
  • Experience with CSSM/Query (AS400), Oracle, SAP, WISPER, Matrix (assets)
  • Excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and energetic, capable of working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Demonstrated experience using digital tools to solve problems

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a cost-effective material and service supply line (MRO and Raw materials) for manufacturing operations
  • Ensure purchase file integrity with accurate pricing, lead-time, and supplier selection
  • Provide drawings and product specifications to suppliers
  • Set up files with part descriptions, supplier codes, prices, minimum order quantities, and lead times
  • Negotiate and build supplier partnerships to maximize value
  • Approve and finalize supplier selection via the supplier setup process
  • Create and maintain purchase orders and SOX audit records
  • Update pricing based on quotes, invoices, and supplier feedback
  • Manage raw material ordering and consignment processes
  • Maintain MRO item supply for production schedules
  • Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, and pricing
  • Provide documentation and terms to new suppliers
  • Resolve invoice holds with FSC to avoid supply interruptions
  • Investigate material price variances and report findings to accounting
  • Support cost reduction projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate MESH documentation with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
