Buyer position Responsibilities will include:

  • Source components for manufacturing from approved vendors but identify alternate suppliers when necessary
  • Develop production schedule and manufacturing plan consistent with finish product demand
  • Collaborate with production planning, engineering, and quality teams to understand material requirements and specifications
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize value
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for history and audit purposes

Buyer position - Skill and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Mgmt or equivalent related experience
  • 2+ yrs in purchasing/procurement role – manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience working with NetSuite ERP and understanding of MRP systems
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, ability to work in deadline driven environment
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, or Kanban systems a plus but not required
  • Understanding of international purchasing and logistics processes a plus
