Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Buyer Analyst to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for managing assigned commodities, sourcing materials, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is not afraid to challenge the status quo to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions

  • Drive vendor engagement to secure the best possible pricing and stay attuned to industry trends and market shifts.
  • Act as a strong negotiator and advocate for cost savings, unafraid to push back when necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Manage assigned commodities and issue purchase orders in alignment with production schedules, sales forecasts, and requisitions.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities without compromising quality, customer satisfaction, or inventory balance
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including writing RFPs and conducting fact-based negotiations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and verify the effectiveness of corrective action plans.
  • Develop, document, and maintain purchasing procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, pricing, supplier capabilities, and performance metrics.
  • Source and obtain samples or test materials to support product development initiatives.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations and follow up on outstanding orders.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate procurement activities to meet fluctuating product demand levels.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related role.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
