Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business that is experiencing strong growth. Our client is known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and developing their people. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking an experienced and proactive Buyer to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings or improved service.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and procurement principles.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
