Primary Purpose of Role The Buyer’s Assistant is responsible for: Supporting the Buyer’s within the team in all day-to-day administrative tasks Determining, reviewing, and maintaining optimum stock levels. Assisting with any functions designated to Buyers Key Result Area and Responsibilities A. Administration Registering, attributing and barcoding items Management of product, pricing, delivery, and invoicing queries Review of EDM and marketing content Maintenance of range plans Management of Samples Management of images and copy on websites Completion of ad-hoc tasks as required B. Order Management Raising, tracking and maintenance of POs Management of accurate and up to date information on POs: Items, quantities and pricing Coordination with domestic and overseas suppliers to ensure stock arrives within agreed timelines C. Stakeholder Management Robust relationships are built with external suppliers and key internal departments to ensure business objectives are achieved D. Financial Performance Contribute to the achievement of the department’s sales targets Key Skills Qualifications & Experience Prerequisite Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong customer focus A commercial sales and product-focused mentality Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills Excellent numeracy and analytical skills Ability to multitask and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines Education/Qualifications/Memberships: Tertiary qualification in fashion, merchandise, business or similar Preferred Experience: Previous clerical or admin experience Previous experience working in a retail environment, footwear specific experience, an advantage Experience using a CMS such as Retek or ERP system such as M3, an advantage Experience working with a large volume of internal and external stakeholders
